Call for Applications: Master and PhD students from Namaste+ Partner Institutions to the Georg-August-Universität Göttingen (UGOE)

The Georg-August-Universität Göttingen (UGOE) offers scholarships for incoming master degree student and PhD candidate mobility from the below listed institutions for studying and research at the University of Göttingen during the winter term 2020/2021.

The scholarships are open to all academic areas.

  6. Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur (IIT – K)
  7. Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU)
  8. Savitribai Phule Pune University (SPPU)
  9. Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS), Mumbai
  10. University of Agricultural Sciences Bangalore (UASB)
  11. University of Delhi (DU)
  12. University of Hyderabad (UoH)

The selection criteria established within the NAMASTE+ project includes:

  • Quality of the application (clearly defined goals and expected outcomes, expected impact, methodology, schedule)
  • Qualifications (academic, competences, publications, relevant prizes, etc.)
  • Aptitudes (such as intercultural readiness, interpersonal skills)
  • Language skills
  • Impact and relevance for India/ Germany (especially in mutual research interests by PhD, postdoc and staff mobilities)

For PhDs, PostDocs and Guest Professors, it is important that you have contacted a researcher at the host institution and she/he are willing to welcome you in their research group

  • Letter of reference
  • In the case of PhD  and research applicants: Invitation letter from the Host University – which means the candidates should have contacted their prospective supervisor or collaborator
