DWIH New Delhi & DAAD India are hiring for the full-time position (40 hrs. per week) for Programme Officer – Communications.

Work profile

  • Develop and implement communication plans for events and projects in consultation with the Head of Programmes
  • Create content for the DWIH New Delhi website, social media, info letter, and print media (posts, texts, blogs, graphics, videos, etc.)
  • Track and analyse social media and website performance; prepare reports
  • Support the promotion, organization, and documentation of onsite and online events
  • Liaise with external agencies and service providers for design, video, and communication deliverables
  • Perform additional duties as required

Requirements

  • Minimum Qualification: Bachelor’s degree (full-time) from a recognised institution
  • Minimum B1 level proficiency in German (exam certificate required)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English (C1)
  • Relevant work experience in communications (content writing for website, social media, and video editing)
  • Experience in web and social media analytics (e.g. Meta Business Suite, Google Analytics)
  • Familiarity with content management systems (e.g. WordPress), design tools (e.g. Canva, Adobe Illustrator), and social media scheduling tools
  • Good knowledge of the Indian research and innovation system is preferred
  • Strong MS Office skills (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
  • Strong organisational skills with a proven ability to collaborate effectively in team settings

Employment Conditions

  • Position: Full-time (40 hours/week) with mandatory four days’ presence in the office
  • Contract: Two-year fixed term with a six-month probation period. Permanent contract possible based on performance.
