Germany Opens its First Electric Highway for Hybrid Trucks
Germany has opened its first e-highway, a 6 mile long stretch on the Autobahn A5 between the cities of Langen/Mörfelden and Weiterstadt, south of Frankfurt. The project, called Elisa (electrified, innovative heavy traffic on the Autobahn), will allow hybrid trucks to draw power to charge themselves from overhead cables installed along the highway. The technology system for the e-highway has been developed by the German tech giant, Siemens.

The German Centre for Research and Innovation- DWIH New Delhi participated in AI India 2019, India’s first global trade show focused on AI (Artificial Intelligence), hosted by the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) from 3rd to 5th February 2019.
