Technische Universität Braunschweig

Technische Universität Braunschweig is Germany’s University of Technology with the longest tradition and a member of the TU9 Network, the alliance of the country’s leading technical universities. Around 16,000 students are enrolled in 87 degree programmes at the university’s six faculties. Among them are around 3,200 international students. The university’s four key research areas – Mobility, Engineering for Health, Future City, and Metrology – are highly relevant on an international level and contribute to overcoming major societal challenges.

TU Braunschweig maintains international relations in all parts of the world. Long-standing links also exist with Indian academic partners both in student exchanges and research: Since 2009, there has been cooperation with BITS Pilani. Since 2012, various agreements have anchored the partnership with the Indian Institute of Technology Bombay (IIT Bombay). In addition, there has already been an intensive exchange to develop cooperation with IIT Delhi and IIT Hyderabad.

In the future, TU Braunschweig wants to further expand these already established relationships. Through its membership as an associate supporter of the German Centre for Research and Innovation (DWIH) in New Delhi, new collaborations are to be established and existing partnerships are to be strengthened for the long term.
