Cities today face complex and interconnected challenges arising from rapid urbanisation, climate change, technological transformation, environmental degradation, and growing social inequalities. Addressing these issues requires interdisciplinary approaches that integrate governance, sustainability, resilience, and inclusion. This workshop provides a platform for scholars to exchange ideas and develop collaborative perspectives on shaping more equitable and sustainable urban futures.

The workshop explores the theme of multiple risks, intersectionality, and inclusion in megacities through discussions on urban governance, city planning, environmental sustainability, disaster risk, cybersecurity, food systems, informal livelihoods, waste management, energy transitions, and critical infrastructure.

It also promotes international research collaboration, funding opportunities, and engagement with early career researchers to strengthen interdisciplinary research on resilient and inclusive cities.

The workshop is financially supported by the DWIH New Delhi.
