The DWIH promotes innovation and collaboration by planning and hosting events focused on current, topical issues in science and the humanities and by taking part in conferences, science fairs, and career fairs.

The German Centre for Research and Innovation (DWIH) New Delhi is one of the strategic initiatives of Germany’s Federal Foreign Office, to internationalize science and research.

The main objective of DWIH New Delhi is to promote the German research landscape in India, enhance existing research cooperation between India and Germany, and strengthen ties between the Indian and German academic and scientific communities through collaboration.

It is supported by 16 German organizations comprising of funding organizations, industry associations, research centres and universities.

In 2020, the activities of the DWIH New Delhi will be centred around the topic of Cities and Climate.

We offer:

  1. An active link between stakeholders in public and private sectors and scientific communities in India and Germany.
  2. Institutional networking within the innovation ecosystem through collaboration opportunities, seminars, symposiums and conferences etc.
  3. A platform for young talent in innovation and entrepreneurship from India and Germany.
  4. Support for bilateral projects between Germany and India in areas of science, technology, innovation, research, and development.
  5. A platform showcasing Germany as a research destination by highlighting German contributions to science, research and innovation amongst Indian academics, scientists and researchers.
  6. Assistance to scholars, young researchers and scientists in engaging with German universities and institutions.
