Dr. Katja Lasch


Dr. Katja Lasch joined as the Director of the German Centre for Research and Innovation (DWIH) New Delhi in October 2019 and is responsible for its strategic management. At the same time, she heads the DAAD Regional Office in India.  Prior to her work in India, she headed the DAAD’s International Research Marketing Division at the head office in Bonn  and the DAAD Information Centre in Bucharest (Romania). Previously, she has also worked in international cultural exchange. Her professional focus and interests lie in the field of international university and research cooperation as well as entrepreneurship.

Katja Lasch holds a doctorate in history. She has studied Eastern European history, political science and Romanian linguistics and is also qualified in business administration.

Aadishree Jamkhedkar
Programme Manager


Aadishree Jamkhedkar manages business development, projects and operations of the DWIH New Delhi. She supports the Director for developing its strategies in India.

Prior to this role, at the Indo-German Chamber of Commerce she implemented German Ministry projects, primarily in energy efficiency, vocational training for industries and migration of skilled Indian professionals to Germany, working with key stakeholders in the field in India and Germany. She also represented the network ‘Alumniportal Deutschland’ in India.

Aadishree has an M.S in Life-Sciences from University of Mumbai, with focus on environmental and applied medical sciences. She further obtained a post-graduate Diploma in Translation techniques and Intercultural Management jointly from Goethe Institut, Johannes Gutenberg University, Mainz and Symbiosis International University.

Ramneet Mehta
Programme Officer – Events


Ramneet Mehta is the Programme Officer at the German Center for Research and Innovation – DWIH New Delhi. Her responsibilities include event management and general office administration.

She has previously worked with the British High Commission in two different departments: – Prosperity Fund and UK-India Science Team, for projects like Tech Summit, Energy Dialogue, while also working with programme and policy leads to understand various aspects of project management. She started her career with DAAD New Delhi, working as a Project Assistant in marketing and communication Initiatives of DAAD India.

Ramneet is a graduate from Delhi University and recently pursued her Masters in Sociology.
