Virtual workshop on ‘Wire-free, multi-modal non-contact physiological sensing and monitoring’
The workshop on ‘Wire-free, multi-modal non-contact physiological sensing and monitoring’ is a virtual workshop organized by Indian Institute of Technology Madras and RWTH Aachen University. Eighteen speakers from different universities and organizations will talk on the latest developments in non-contact monitoring. The talks will be between 7th April 2021 and 20th April 2021, with two talks per day. Each talk will be for a duration of 30 to 45 minutes with Q & A. The two talk timings everyday are 2:30 pm and 6:30 pm IST (11 am and 3 pm CEST)

Publication on “Air quality in India with a particular focus on Delhi, Punjab and Haryana during the crop residue burning period” funded by Max-Planck Partner group grant
Dr Dhanyalekshmi K. Pillai, Assistant Professor, Earth and Environmental Sciences, IISER Bhopal and the Head, Max Planck Partner Group (MPI-BGC Germany) has recently published in ACP (Copernicus Publications) investigating air quality in India with a particular focus on Delhi, Punjab and Haryana during the crop residue burning period. The research is completely funded by the Max-Planck Partner group grant.

The Max Weber Stiftung (MWS), India Branch Office and the Bonn Center for Dependency and Slavery Studies (BCDSS) are organising the Winter School “Making and Un-Making Worlds of Coercion and Confinement”. The winter schools of the India Branch Office bring together graduate students and experienced scholars within an informal and lively environment aimed at exploring the worlds of South Asian societies and cultures in history and in the present, and using the experience of this exploration as a starting point for new ventures and departures in scholarly discourse.
