Accessibility statement
This accessibility statement applies to the website of the German Academic Exchange Service published at the URL https://www.dwih-newdelhi.org/en/
As a public body within the meaning of Directive (EU) 2016/2102, we strive to make our websites and mobile applications accessible in accordance with the provisions of the Federal Disability Equality Act (BGG) and the Barrier-Free Information Technology Ordinance (BITV 2.0) implementing Directive (EU) 2016/2102.

Compliance with the requirements was verified on the basis of a self-assessment carried out on 3 November 2025.

WCAG 2.1.1 Keyboard operability is not yet provided.
WCAG 2.1.2 Keyboard traps are present.
WCAG 2.4.1 Not all repeating areas can be skipped.
WCAG 2.4.3 Focus order is not yet task-appropriate.
WCAG 2.4.4 Link purpose is not always understandable (in context).
WCAG 2.4.7 Keyboard focus is not always visible.
WCAG 3.2.3 Navigation is not yet completely consistent.
WCAG 3.2.4 Elements in the “News from the Houses” teaser are not always labeled consistently. This is due to the heterogeneity and linguistic variation of the announcements.
WCAG 4.1.1 Syntax specifications are not yet met.
WCAG 4.1.2 Name, role and value are not yet identifiable.
We are endeavouring to implement an accessible offering as soon as possible.
