3. Finish creating your account by clicking on the link and setting up the password and filling in details of your professional profile.  You are now registered for the event.

Fire Side Chat: Shifting Paradigms in Research – Building Equitable Academic Partnerships

In the fireside chat, the experts will discuss and question the conventional practices in international research cooperation between developed and developing countries. Acknowledging historical imbalances and systemic biases central to the discussion is an outlook on the future of international research collaboration. How do we ensure that partnerships are built on principles of equity, mutual respect, and shared benefit? What strategies can be employed to foster genuine equitable collaboration? Panel Discussion: Impact of Artificial Intelligence (AI) on Research and Research Institutions  

In this panel discussion, experts will discuss the challenges arising from the use of AI and the need for regulation of applications of AI on a level of fundamental research, applied research and translational research. Join in to hear perspectives of researchers on their own experiences and representatives from universities and research centres on strategies of institutions with respect to integrating AI in research, teaching, learning and evaluations of research proposals. Furthermore, get insights topics such as reliable machine learning, ethical considerations of AI with case studies from healthcare and medicine.

Panel Discussion: International Research Funding – In Dialogue with Funding Organizations

In this panel, the representatives of the key funding institutions from India and Germany will give insights into the current and future funding strategies of their institutions for Indo-German research- and higher education cooperation. They will address topics such as the focus of the funding institutions, structures of funding programmes, challenges in funding of Indo-German research cooperation, funding gaps, and evaluation of research proposals. Join in for insights on the ongoing global shift in funding for international mobility of researchers and research projects. The discussion will be followed by Q&A with the audience.
