The contribution of higher education institutions to innovation ecosystems

SDG 9 aims to build resilient infrastructures, promote sustainable industrialization, and foster innovation. New technology and innovation are seen as key factors for further economic growth which generates employment and income. The session will focus on the objectives of SDG 9 with respect to the role of universities and colleges in the innovation ecosystem and their contribution to innovation. Experts will answer questions such as: How can industry-academia cooperation foster technological advancement? What are good practice models for technology transfer and its structures? How can entrepreneurship be integrated in teaching and learning?
