Innovators Connect - Tandem 2023

Innovators Connect – Tandem is a two-week immersion programme hosted at incubators in India, for young researchers interested in start-up founding and early-stage start-up founders from India and Germany. Jointly developed with leading incubators from both the countries, this flagship programme includes workshops, information sessions, mentoring, networking, visits, and intercultural training. Participants will work in teams (Tandems) for problem-solving, develop new ideas and get exposure to start-up and innovation ecosystems of India and Germany.

Who can apply?
Graduates/ researchers associated with one of the partner incubators with a concrete lab to market idea
OR
Start-up founders with their start-ups (not older than 2 years) and incubated at one of the partner incubators

One tandem or team has one participant from India and one from Germany
Financial support for the programme
Travel, accommodation, and meals for participants is covered by DWIH New Delhi and host incubators in India.
The following are covered for participants from Germany
– Local transport in Germany
– Air travel to India and back
– Local transport in India (to and from the airport and related to the program in India)
– Meals during the programme, wherever applicable
– Stay in India (Campus guest houses)
– Visa
DWIH will cover the following for participants from India
– Travel and accommodation for the joint programme*
– Meals during the programme, wherever applicable
*Week 2 will offer a joint programme for all the participants at CCAMP in Bangalore. Accommodation will be covered only for non-local participants- those whose host incubators for the programme at SIIC, IIT Kanpur, and KIIT-TBI, KIIT.

Winning teams
At the end of the programme, the Tandems will pitch their ideas to a jury comprised of start-up advisors, founders, VCs, funding bodies and international agencies. Top ideas win mentoring (on-site or online) at one of the partner incubators in Germany, along with institutional visits and continued mentoring with incubators in India.
