Call for papers - Refugees in Global Transit
Max Weber Forum for South Asian Studies, Delhi, along with Queen’s University, Kingston and German Historical Institute Washington invites paper proposals for an international workshop on Refugees in Global Transit Encounters, Knowledge, and Coping Strategies in a Disrupted World, 1930s–50s.
The workshop is being organized in collaboration with Orient-Institut Istanbul, Erfurt University, and Orient-Institut Beirut. and will be hosted in Mumbai, India on February 13–14, 2025. It aims to bring together scholars with an interdisciplinary and cross-epochal approach to Forced Migration and facilitate exchange with and among scholars in and/or from the Global South.
The language of communication will be English.
Selected candidates will be offered accommodation. Selected participants may also receive travel subsidies upon request.
The deadline to submit proposals is 30 April 2024.
