Delegation

Indo-German InnoXchange Programme

This delegation visit marks the first activity under the Indo-German InnoXchange Programme. It brings together stakeholders from the entrepreneurial ecosystems of India and the German state of Baden-Württemberg. The delegation consisted of 10 participants, including 7 startup founders and 3 incubator heads, in addition to officials from DAAD – DWIH New Delhi and DST. The cohort of startups and incubators spanned diverse sectors, including SpaceTech & Defence, Aerospace, Energy, and MedTech.

The start-up founders, heads of incubators and technology transfer offices along with representatives of government funding agencies from India and Germany came together through workshops, curated visits, meetings, and networking events to discuss the internationalization of innovation and entrepreneurship and explore opportunities for cooperation.

The delegation’s visit spanned Karlsruhe, Stuttgart, and concluded in Heidelberg. Highlights of the exchange included visits to the Energy lab at Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT), High Performance Computing Center (HLRS) at University of Stuttgart, hei_INNOVATION transfer centre at the University of Heidelberg and the Heidelberg Technology Park along with active participation in the Applied Deep-Tech Festival in Stuttgart.

‘InnoXchange’ is a bilateral programme of DWIH New Delhi, DAAD, and DST. It focuses on cooperation in innovation, technology transfer, and entrepreneurship between India and Germany. It is designed to enable exchange between incubator managers and deep-tech start-up founders, supporting collaboration and mutual learning. The programme aims to facilitate knowledge sharing across key areas such as joint technology development, funding opportunities, management of incubators and accelerators, international market access, and intellectual property strategies.
