DWIH Innovate – Global Pathways for Science-Based Innovation is a flagship initiative funded by the German Federal Ministry for Research, Technology and Space (BMFTR) for the period 2026–2029. The initiative is anchored at the German Centres for Research and Innovation, which are a part of the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD). The programme aims to strengthen Germany’s innovation ecosystem by fostering international mobility, technology transfer, and entrepreneurship among researchers and innovators.

Indo-German Entrepreneurship ProgrammeCall for applications: Innovators Connect – Tandem 2026 (Apply till 5 September 2026)
Innovators Connect – Tandem is a two week entrepreneurship programme for young researchers interested in start-up founding and early-stage start-up founders from India and Germany. Participants will work in teams to generate innovative ideas, undergo training for bringing research ideas to market and get exposure to start-up and innovation ecosystems of India and Germany. The programme will include design thinking workshops, information sessions, mentoring, networking sessions, lab visits and more. The programme takes place in India. This year marks the fifth edition of the programme.

The Indo-German InnoXchange Programme is a bilateral programme of the German Academic Exchange Service -DAAD ( German Center of Research and Innovation (DWIH) New Delhi) and the Department of Science and Technology (DST), Government of India. The programme aims to establish a systematic exchange format between the Indian and German deep-tech startup and entrepreneurship ecosystems, fostering collaboration among startups, incubators, accelerators, universities, and research institutions. On behalf of the DST, SINE – IIT Bombay is the implementation partner of the programme.
