Earth System Modelling School (EaSyMS) 2021
IMPRS invites for participation in its Earth System Modelling School (EaSyMS) 2021 scheduled for December 3-10, 2021.
EaSyMS employs for the first time the ICON Earth System Model. Participants will run the model on the high performance computing system of the German Climate Computing Center (DKRZ) to study the dynamics of the Earth system in pre-defined impact simulations. With help of experts, they will analyze their simulations to understand the dynamics of and interaction between the major Earth system components. In parallel to extended experimental hands-on sessions, EaSyMS participants will follow a series of lectures on Earth system processes and their representation in ICON-ESM.
They offer only a limited number of slots for participation. They invite Doctoral Students, PostDocs and early career researchers with a strong interest and academic background in the Earth system sciences.
