Cologne International Forum Innovative Tandem Collaborations
The Cologne International Forum at the University of Cologne invites applications for Cologne International Forum Innovative Tandem Collaborations to foster international research collaboration and innovative project endeavours.
The University of Cologne showcases its international research partnerships through the Cologne International Forum, engaging the university’s academic community alongside international research networks and the wider public. Through its Innovative Tandem Collaborations funding, University of Cologne promotes creative, project-based collaboration between researchers at the university and outstanding international early-career scholars.
Who can apply:
Project applications are submitted jointly by a tandem consisting of:
- one postdoctoral researcher or advanced doctoral researcher affiliated with the University of Cologne, and
- one international postdoctoral researcher based outside Germany.
The program favors novel, unconventional formats of international collaboration.
Funding & scope:
Each selected tandem receives funding of up to €15,000 to support research-related expenses such as travel, workshops, short research stays, or research reports and more. Projects should be innovative, exploratory, and aimed at developing sustainable long-term collaboration.
