Climate Research in India: Platforms, Policy Papers and Research Projects

Promoting sustainable urbanisation, including integrated policies and measures to improve resource efficiency, adapt to climate change and reduce the environmental burden posed by cities, is part of climate action initiatives in India.

An overview of research projects, policy papers, reports and opinions by Centre for Policy Research (CPR), New Delhi. They analyses of aspects of cities such as energy access; infrastructure; healthy local environments; and economic growth; with respect to concerns such as climate change mitigation and adaptations. Case studies are from the Indian cities of Rajkot, Gujarat and Coimbatore.
